IMP Pairs / Teams event on Friday Night

The event is an amalgam of a team event and a pair event. Enter as a team of four players (no five- or six-person teams); if you come as a  pair, we will find teammates for you. You will play two or three boards against most of the other teams in the event, scored by IMPs; at the  end of the session your score is the total IMPs scored against everyone you played (no separate match scores). The movement will feel like a  regular Pair event, so you won't compare scores with your teammates until the end of the session. As a bonus, each pair will have their  scores IMPed against everyone in the section, and that will be scored as an IMP Pairs events. You will be awarded whichever is the greater of  your masterpoint award for the team event or the pair event.

This is a new event in Washington bridge league.
